If it’s your first time planning an event, you probably have a million questions. Hopefully you’ll find most of your answers here but if not, just get in touch…

How many Domes?

Our wee dome is great for intimate events of up to 60 guests, our big dome is suitable for up to around 100 guests and if you’re planning a bigger event, our double dome sits up to 180 guests.

What are the site requirements?

The wee dome needs a space with a diameter of 10 meters, the big dome needs a space with a diameter of 15 meters and the double dome needs a 15 meter x 25 meter space. We also advise you to ensure that the site :

  • has good access for vans and trailers

  • is level and has no services less than a meter from the surface

  • has no trees or electricity lines overhead

Where do you travel to?

Most of our work is in central Scotland but we’re happy to travel to anywhere in the UK. Our delivery charge is based on the distance from our workshop in East Lothian to your venue.

Where can we get tables and chairs?

Unfortunately we don’t have tables and chairs for hire but we can recommend some suppliers that we’ve worked with many times. We can also advise you on possible table layouts.

How do we get power to the domes?

Occasionally it’s possible to run a line from a nearby building but usually it’s necessary to hire a generator. We can sub-contract one for you or we’re happy to advise you on power requirements if you prefer to arrange it yourselves.

Will we need heaters?

Even in the summer, it does tend to get quite chilly in the evening so we would highly recommend hiring a heating package.

What kind of flooring do the domes have?

We use DandyDura coco matting with a waterproof membrane underneath.

How long will we have the domes for?

All our prices are for a 5 day hire. We usually build the domes on the Thursday so that you have the Friday to decorate and set tables if need be and then we take them down on the Monday. This way you have use of the domes on the Sunday too if you want it.

How do we go about booking?

Once we’ve confirmed dates and which dome and extras you want, we’ll send you a deposit invoice for 50% of the total amount along with our terms and conditions. We will confirm the booking upon receipt of the deposit. The remaining balance should be paid at least 7 days before the build date but we’ll remind you when we get closer to the date.

Will we need insurance?

We ask all of our clients to take out event insurance to cover any accidental damage of our equipment, cancellation or injury. This is just a fairly inexpensive precaution and will hopefully keep your mind at easy on the day.
